Why is my user showing 2FA Disabled?

In Dark Web ID, a user may appear with the status 2FA disabled even if they are actively using two‑factor authentication. This typically occurs when the user is authenticating with Authy.

Dark Web ID supports two different 2FA methods:

  • Authy

  • Google Authenticator

Because of how Authy integrates with Dark Web ID, users who log in with Authy will always display as having 2FA Disabled in the user list. This status does not mean they lack two‑factor protection—it only reflects how the system reports Authy‑based authentication. If your users rely on Authy, you can safely ignore the “2FA Disabled” label.

For detailed steps on enabling or configuring 2FA, refer to the appropriate onboarding guides:

These guides explain how to set up 2FA, manage authentication apps, and ensure accounts are fully secured.
